Neither do I, all I know is that Chrome stores settings by extension ID rather than having a global settings library. I don’t want to make any guarantees on when XCloud will update, but I’ll say Soon™

Posting this publicly because a LOT of asks have been gotten about this.
It seems like the old XCloud servers are toast. Very few people are able to successfully upload to it. What this means is that, until we make our own XCloud with an import sequence or the likes, there is no way to preserve settings when upgrading. Whether you want this or not is a choice; if you don’t want to lose your stuff, you’ll be better off just waiting for a little bit until we’ve sorted out things on our end.

Firefox saves all extension settings locally, which can be used by any extension. Uninstalling old XKit and re-installing new XKit therefore saves all of your settings automatically.
