So I installed Xkit, and it didn’t show up of my browser. I am using the latest version of Firefox, is there something I should do differently?

At least two people are having this issue, which is sad. But you’re not alone! A good first step for hopefully fixing this is to open the url “about:config”, and click past the scary warning.

Once you’re there, search for xkit7. Then right-click on extensions.xkit7.xkit_installation_complete and extensions.xkit7.xkit_cached_blogs, selecting “Reset”. As a last resort you can also reset extensions.xkit7.xkit_installed_extensions can also be reset.This should trigger XKit’s install dialog once you refresh Tumblr. Let me know if it doesn’t, because that means this problem is more insidious than I thought.

It seems to work after clicking ‘refresh Firefox’ since it removes the data of the previous xKit so it starts all over again. :)

Did you uninstall the old xkit first? That’s the only think I can think of that would cause this.

Now fixed for Draft+, Queue+, Check Post Limit, Blog Tracker, and Outbox.

thank you for your work in helping keep xkit up to date, it's such a good extension but it sucked watching it slowly fall apart. i'm having trouble using the "show post anyways" button on blacklisted posts; when i click it, it just moves for a moment but doesn't show the post. one click reply also doesn't seem to work; it only opens a new text post and does not insert the text from the reply.

The “Show It Anyway” button should be fixed if you have version 2.7 REV C. The issue with OCR is known and will hopefully be fixed soon.

question before I update. I use the "block post" feature on the old xkit rather frequently... will the posts I have blocked carry over or will I have to re-block things I have blocked previously?

It’s likely they will, as other settings like archived posts carry over, although I cannot confirm because I didn’t use that extension before updating.
