I've had success backing up with XCloud, even today. There are problems with authentication, but you can override it to allow by clicking the shield up in the navigation bar. It also gives an error if you have certain extensions that are custom added or outdated (Estufar's Sidebar Fix and No Sidebar caused problems for me). If anyone has any problems and is using chrome to try to back up, feel free to send me a message and I'll walk you through it.
