Apparently posts with multiple comments are broken, is it Xkit or Tumblr?

Looks like Tumblr broke reblogs such that comments get added regardless of whether or not someone actually wrote anything. We’ll look at it later tonight if it’s not fixed by then.

xkit new xkit tumblr update you know those posts talking about how the XKit guy must have opened tumblr after an update and just been like 'goddammit not again'? that's exactly how it happens Anonymous

i didn't see this on your bugs list, so I'll go ahead and submit it. using the blacklist extension on Firefox (version 39.0) when a post is hidden and one goes to click "show it anyway" the button doesn't actually work. it won't show the post. i haven't tried it in any other browsers, but it's definitely not working in firefox.

We’ve been getting quite a few messages like this, which is bizzare because we both run Firefox (I run 39.0) and neither of us have this problem. If those of you with this problem could give us additional details (OS, browser version, blacklist extension version, other extensions (browser and XKit), anything else you find relevant) by replying to or reblogging this post, that would be great.

xkit new xkit blacklist we have 682 asks right now and I don't want your responses to get buried Anonymous

By the way, extension not working in incognito mode is not a bug, it's a feature, since browser has no way of telling which extensions would record data. A work around, (in chrome at least, dunno about firefox) that is going to settings, extensions, and clicking "allow in incognito". It looks like it works fine.

Not a thing in Firefox as far as I can tell, unfortunately. Posting for Chrome users.

Have you fixed the the sidebar to have the activity/queue/followers show up yet?

As of now, there are two ways to get your account info in your sidebar, and both are slightly broken:

  1. Install the beta extension “Old Stats” from the extension browser. This will look like the stats sidebar on your activity page. I haven’t yet figured out how to get the activity graph to draw properly, so that’s currently blank. You’ll also still need to use the peg-person button to see your likes and other blogs.
  2. Install estufarextensions‘s sidebar extension from their blog. This will look like the menu that appears when you click the peg-person button now, and will remove that button entirely. Unfortunately, if you click anywhere before xkit is done loading this extension, you’ll be redirected to the dashboard.

I sent an ask earlier about not being able to get new xkit to work on firefox 39. Well, through a process of elimination I discovered the problem. New xkit works great (<3 btw) until I change firefox's settings to never remember history & tell sites I don't want to be tracked, and clear recent history; after this firefox acts like new xkit isn't installed, the xkit thingy doesn't show up on the tumblr etc. Thank you for all your work

We’ll look into it. It might be related to how XKit currently doesn’t work in private browsing. Posting for other people with this problem.
