is there any way that xkit can be made for the android/LG phone/ other mobile devices?

If you have the newest Firefox for Android (39+), you can download the XKit extension and use it on the desktop site.

Other than that, we’re not currently working on a mobile port. We will eventually, but we’re still fixing everything that went wrong after the old XKit Guy left and repairing what Tumblr Staff breaks.

If a mobile port is really important to you, you can contribute over on our github, either by getting the current extension to show up on the mobile site, or by starting a proper app.

Maybe it’s tumblr being stupid or, a chrome issue, or maybe the new-xkit-extension is having issues, but I’m finding a lot of the stuff that comes out of my queue posts without the caption/full blog post. It’s definitely there when I initially put the post in my queue, but when it’s finally up it’s just the title or the video in question and nothing else. I swear I’m not purposely removing the content!

I’ve submitted this over on our github here, but we can’t recreate your issue. Can you (or anyone else with this issue) give us info on your browser and other installed extensions?

new-xkit-extension This is what I’m talking about. It only began to happen after I downloaded new xkit

This could be caused by installing the “Themes Editor” extension or the internal “Xkit Installer” extension. (We just pushed an update to hide that, as an aside.) We’ve had issues with this before, and the solution should be to uninstall themes editor, although I’ve never seen it happen on blogs before.

If this doesn’t solve your problem, could you please tell us what extensions you have, and what browser you’re using? And also if it does work, can you let us know? We might have to update themes editor to fix this.

Would having multiple browsers open interfere with the function of Xkit? As in, different instances of Chrome, each logged into a different account? Because I'm having everything disappear after a few refreshes if I keep more than one or two instances open.

I’m not sure how Chrome handles cookies, but as long as the different sessions are using different sets of cookies you should be fine.

On Firefox, for example, the Multifox extension doesn’t work right because the profiles share cookies. However, I have Firefox (personal tumblr) and Firefox Developer Edition (xkit tumblr) open simultaneously without issue.

It should be pretty obvious if it’s not working—usually one blog will be unable to use One Click Postage if you’re having cookie issues. What do you mean by everything disappearing?

The auto-tagger no longer seems to be tagging my queued posts. Also I recently had several very old posts of mine show back up in my queue without me putting them there. Is that an xkit thing or just good ol' fashioned broken tumblr?

This should work now for queuing with One Click Postage 4.0.2. Queuing with the editor is harder to fix, but we’re working on it.
